Having once been impressed at the Wydmans as they rode to the defence of a merchant caravan he and his knight were traveling with, Talieas kept their valour in mind for the rest of his days as a squire. Upon being knighted he thanked his teacher and then rode home to celebrate with his family. Shortly thereafter he asked their permission to serve the Wydmans to repay their service. With it granted he swiftly rode to Wydman lands and pledged himself to their cause. He has been with them since. From this alone it is not hard to grasp the young man's priorities and attitude to life. He values honour and strives hard, even through his flaws and vices, to be a good knight. Certainly he is a flirt and both unsubtle and transparent in his intentions and agenda, but rarely is he not well-meaning or good-natured. Tal, as he is often called, is obvious in his wish for glory and accomplishment. Fortunately, he is also a capable fighter and an excellent horseman. What he lacks as a commander or tactician he makes up for with loyalty to his fellows and the uplifting comraderie he provides.
As far as looks are concerned, Tal is tall, broad-shouldered young man that most might consider handsome. It definitely helps that he is quite fastidious about his appearance; he shaves and washes regularly, his clothes are kept clean and his armour and weapons are polished daily. What would be the point of saving a fair maiden or confronting an evil brigand if he was shabby looking and dirty? It would only mar his reputation, not strengthen it! Deep green eyes and a friendly, warm smile complete him well, as does an appreciation for fashion leading to reasonably stylish ensembles. However, Tal is neither a fashion-setter nor a social butterfly. His talents here are more natural and developed through an appreciation of others. Ever cheerful and easy going, Tal calls things like he sees them. This has won him friends and, sometimes, earned him some enmity. Like with most things he takes each in his stride.
In regards to hobbies and interests, Tal practices regularly on horse and on foot. Even more than riding he simply likes horses; from a young age he spent a great deal of time in and around the stables and at the tiltyard. His prized possession is his destrier Pearl, a very large white mare with a seemingly gentle personality who becomes fierce and competitive in combat. Rightfully proud of her, having raised her from birth, Tal also has a rowdy courser that he also takes good care of. Sammy, the chestnut courser with an attitude, has been relegated to more menial duties yet each horse is personally seen to by Talieas except in rare circumstances where he has other engagements. Even then he will visit them after to check they are each well. Aside from this Tal enjoys the odd book, as elusive as they often are, drinking and spending time with friends, as well as fishing. The last has helped him become very patient... perhaps because he is not altogether very good at it.Statistics: Posted by Talieas Corbray — Sat Sep 02, 2017 7:32 pm
