The sun rises in a clear sky. Though the morning is still cool, the air warms as the day drags on; overall, it's warmer than the day before though still cooler than those in the south are used to in spring. As the day wears on, clouds drift through the sky though the weather holds up. The sun beats down on the tournament grounds.

As the sun sets, it once again becomes cool but the throngs of crowds in the commons make it feel much warmer as fires blaze and coin is spent. As night truly and properly sets in, clouds begins to appear in the western sky and, before the sun rises again, a light misty rain settles over the tournament.

Events
Late Morning: The First Break [Jousting]
Late Afternoon: The Squire's Joust [Challenge Event]
Early Eveing: The Bear & The Maiden Fair [Red & Black Event]

  • Any jousters making an attempt to jockey for a position on Day Three need to have their rolls submitted by 8PM Eastern on August 29th
  • Any characters submitted by 8PM Eastern on August 29th will be considered to have arrived on Day Two; any submitted after that will always enter play on the next day.

Watch Me Make This Dragon... Disappear!
"Prince Maekar didn't seem too happy when the Dragon Princes arrived..."
"Why would he be? What with what happened on the road an' all."
"What do you mean?"
"You didn't hear? Princes Daeron and Aegon rode ahead of their father with a separate party. They weren't more than a day gone from King's Landing when both princes disappeared in the middle of the night."
"Oh... I'd hate to be their guards right now..."

Dunn You Forget About Me
"The Lord Commander Dunn is well and truly late. He's missed the welcoming and now he's apt to miss the first break. I'm sure Lord Ashford is none too happy about that - and when Lord Ashford is unhappy, you know Lord Tyrell must be upset."

The Whole Song & Dance
Heard from the Bottom of the Barrel late in the evening:
"No one's slick as Marqus
No one's quick as Marqus
No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Marqus'
For there's no man in town half as manly
Perfect, a pure paragon!
You can ask any Jon, Sam, or Renly
And they'll tell you whose team they prefer to be on!"

The Man with the Golden Dog
"Have you seen that man with the Caffaren sigil?"
"Aren't they sworn to the Kellingtons?"
"Aye. I'm never seen a man with half so many animals walking around."
"Aye. Might be one to keep your eye on, then?"

The Prince & The Blind Girl
"Well, as grumpy as he was when he arrived, Prince Maekar seemed rather pleased leaving the welcoming ceremony."
"Aye, those gathered seemed to speak much better of him than they did Prince Baelor."
"Especially that Terrick girl. They say she's blind."
"Maybe she toasted to the wrong prince then?"
They laugh, though it's quickly hushed...

The White Stag, Redux
"No, I'm not crazy like Old Elryk. I swear, I saw it. I was down by the river taking a piss and there it was at the edge of the woods - biggest damned stag I'd ever seen with fur as white as ice. It turned to look at me with those blue eyes and then... well, I tripped over my breeches and fell in the river, okay? No, I wasn't - all right, I might have had a few too many at the Dornishman but I swear, I know what I saw!"
