The Tourney at Ashford

It seemed like a nice enough place when she camped here on her way into Ashford. Out of the way, undisturbed by many, and yet there was still the shiver up her spine when she thought of the thing watching her. However, as she had been assured by the Maester that there shouldn't be anything that would cause harm to a person in the area she felt safe enough to come here alone.

Stepping out into the open space she scanned the area, standing at the clearings center.

It had been two times now that the White Stag had been mentionned. For Ferris that was a sign...an albinos Stag was rare enough but a blue eyed one?

Entirely unheard of

And so he moved in silence in the forest, hoping to get familar with it until he came upon the clearing.

Hearing the snap of a twig, Alessia turned about with her sword whipped out toward the man. Straight across the open space she reached out with the point leveled off right at the man. Figuring him for the creature that spied on her a day prior.

However, as it appeared, he was not this creature. As far as she could tell.

Laying her blade down at her side she tilted her head slightly, asking, "Are you looking for someone?"

When the blade had been pointed at him, the hunter had reached for his quiver but relaxed when she dropped her blade

''Something, rather'' he replied ''I want to familiarise myself with the woods to better hunt my quarry''

He raised an eyebrow

"It seems you were expecting trouble"

"Alone in the woods, doesn't hurt to be careful," she said with a light smile as she slipped the blade away once again.

"A hunter then?" she asked, looking to him.

He gave a nod then pulled back his hood. He smiled back at the unusual woman

"You have me there, thought ladies usually travel with a retinue."

He gave a bow

"I am Ferris Cafferen and I am indeed a hunter."

"I am far too lowborn for a retinue to follow about and a deft hand with a blade is all the protection a girl needs," she said with a light smile.

"Alessia," she said with a short Braavosi styled bow.

He nodded as he put the name to memory then surrendered to his curiosity

''Your sword seems quite quick ideed...alas I have never seen one of its make''

"Have you ever been to Braavos?" she asked, leading to the answer her wished.

''I never had the chance...'' he frowned, pondering

''It is one of the free cities of Essos, yes?''

"Braavos is the Free City which I have called home for the past few years, it is where I learned swordplay," she said, lowering a hand to her blade before she continued, "And it is where you would find many swords like this."

Ferris seemed appreciative

''I have heard of the reputation of Bravos's swordsman but must admit I never witnessed a display...Will you be participating in the melee?''

"I will not," she said, glancing off to the side with an annoyed tick notable in the way her lip fell from it's usual place.

He wondered why she was ticked off but that soon became evident

''That is...too bad''

"Yourself, huntsman? Or are your abilities reserved for critters?"

''Some of them'' he replied

''But I do plan to enter the marksmanship competition later this week...and maybe the rinding one as well.''

"Right, well, good luck to you then," she said, turning her attention to the forest.

He struck a nerve it seemed, better to let thing go

''I wish you a good day'' with that he turned and entered the wood once more

Looking back, Alessia watched as the man left. Westeros, so far it has proven to be a completely foreign and strange place, but maybe that was just this minor-housers. Anyway, no sense spending too much time thinking on it.
