Having woken with a stinking headache and sensitive jaw, Marqus decided to go and visit his fellow brawler after breakfast with his sister.
The fresh air felt almost cool to his skin after all that time in the heat of the south, and he enjoyed looking at the assorted heraldry of the houses as he crossed to the West, looking for House Dunn's colours. When he eventually found their pavillion he paused a moment looking at their symbol and wondering if two-headed birds were actually a thing.
With a shrug he approached and told the guards who he was. "It's Marqus Forrester. I was just stopping by to see if Kevan Dunn was around?"

Oswell saw the approaching guest from within his tent, it was too wet to go out, but the humidity was too much to keep his tent all closed up so he waved the guards to send the Forrester lad over.
"Not at the moment, but you can wait in here where it's dry if you wish?"

The tall Northerner smiled and nodded. "Thank you Maester, that would be grand." As he approached it was clear that he had been involved in the previous evening's brawl. A nasty-looking bruise was in the early stages of covering one side of his jaw.
Reaching the man in the chair Marqus extended a hand. "Nice to meet you."

Oswell chuckled at the Forrester lad. "Much nicer than meeting whomever gave you that ugly pounding in the face at least."
Gesturing to the stool near one of the canvas walls of the tent the Maester introduced himself. "I'm Oswell, current Maester of House Dunn. Take a seat lad, and tell me what brings you here."

He chuckled at that. "If you see an ugly fella with freshly broken teeth tell him I said he asked for it."
Taking the seat as indicated he leaned forward a bit, as if trying to seem less tall. "Pleased to meet you Maester Oswell. I just thought I'd drop in and see if Kevan was free for a chat. We were fighting on the same side last night in a rather large brawl, but I didn't really see what started it off."

"As long as you gave as good as you got, I'm sure the Warrior will be pleased. Me on the other hand, at least I brought plenty of supplies. If you want I can have a look at it for you, they don't give these out to just anybody nowdays."
He jokes as he rattles his chain of silver and steel.

Kevan, tipped by the guards, finally appeared in the tent, with a big smile.
"I see you have the right idea to get patched up before the next time, Marqus. Maester Oswell is the best healer I know. I hope i am not intruding on the procedure, Maester?"

Marqus couldn't help but smile at Oswell's joke. The old man was rather endearing. "I gave out far more than I received, aye! Sharing is caring, or something like that." All this good humour was highlighting the tightness in his jaw.
"Far be it from me to turn down the advice of a Maester. I'd appreciate that. Took a knee to the jaw. I'd point but it's a bit bloody obvious where."
When Kevan arrived Marqus grinned, which drew a soundless wince. "Actually I just came to see if you were about. How's you this morning? Maester Oswell very kindly offered to take a look at this badge of honour for me."

"I suppose I owe you that that my face is more handsome than yours today." Kevan smirked. "I'd have a similar badge if not for your timely intervention." He patted the pavilion pole. "First my sword danced the abyss out of me then I ran around reinforcing our camp ahead of the storm. A rejuvenating beginning of the day if I may say so."

Oswell looked over Marqus's boo-boo, thinking to himself how much more fun of a patient Kaliya was. His attention wandered for only a second, but then this was hardly a true test of his skills so the Maester wasn't too concerned.

"Well to hear that you spared the young heir here a similar beating, I should be thanking you. Would have hated to have to explain that to Lord Dunn when he arrives."
