Warryn prepared the food and wine for his guests. It was some of the better stuff, at least he hoped. Kevan and Desmond were both heirs to their houses, so it would be good to have a nice talk. Hopefully.

Kevan did not come empty handed. He came full-handed. A quarter of a roasted boar and three bottles of Arbor. Warryn's mindset was right, heirs needed to feast with oomph.

Desmond arrived, accompanied by Walder and carrying an assortment of bread and cheeses. He was looking forward to this. Good food was always nice. The conversation should be interesting.

Warryn waved to the arrivals.
"Welcome friends, welcome. Oh my, and here I thought I was bringing too much food already!" A couple of servants took the trays and bottles away from the pair, while Warryn knelt down and extended a hand towards Walder. "Kevan, Desmond, thank you for accepting my invite. We are living in interesting times, so I am hoping that perhaps the three of us could share our perspective... and eat, of course."

"Sounds great, Ser Warryn." Kevan smiled, passing the footstuffs for the servants to manage. "I admit I have yet to acquaint young Lord Terrick but this looks like just the right time and opportunity. You're also spot on that various troubles have started to amass and there is no waste in trying to find some general, shared idea what is going on." The Dunn heir chose his place and waited for someone to fill his beaker.

"It is good to see you again, Ser Warryn, and to meet you Kevan." he smiled. "My name is Desmond and this is Walder."
The dog sniffed the air and stared at the food, but stayed by the young Terrick's side.

"Friends, please call me Warryn. We're all here as peers, present and future." He smiled and gestured to the seats. "Desmond Terrick, meet Kevan Dunn, heir to the Burrow. Kevan, meet Desmond Terrick, heir to Hawkspray. Thank you both for coming."
He put some meat onto a seperate plate and put it on the floor. "For Walder, if he's so inclined." He then poured wine for all 3 of them, from the Arbor. "As Kevan said, we live in troubling times, but at least it gives us a good opportunity for our Houses to meet and greet. And eat!"

The dog looked to Desmond who gave a subtle wave of his hand. Walder was then all too happy to indulge himself.
"It's always nice to make new friends." the boy nodded.

"Well met! Let's drink for good things that will happen once the young generation has its way." Kevan chuckled, and raised his beaker.

Warryn raised his cup to a toast and drank. "Mighty fine wine Kevan, if I do say so myself. Desmond, tell me how are you enjoying the tourney so far?" He turned to the littlest Terrick next.

Desmond joined in the toast and drank deeply before answering.
"It's been fun to watch and I've enjoyed exploring the woods. I'm looking forward to the marksmanship competition."

"Me, to the grand melee." Kevan silently saluted with his beaker, an excuse to make another swig.

Warryn smiled. "I might take a gander at both, though I am far from accomplished with either. Still, in the name of competition!" He took another swig himself. "Kevan, I'm not surprised about the melee, but Desmond, you practice archery a lot?"

"I do." he nodded. "I train in melee combat as well, but that is something I am still growing into. Archery has come much easier."

Kevan helped himself to some cheese, listening to the conversation.
