Alessia had, at some point, begun watching the group from a seated position at her post a ways off from where they all stood. Here they were, on the sparring field, standing around and talking. Shouldn't be surprised, of course, a pretty girl stood at their center and it was a bunch of armed men.

Occasionally, when she tired of people watching, she instead went through the fights once again in her mind.

[Kaelyn Dunn]

Kaelyn's eyes widened. "Mace and Maul?" She had just been pondering the fates within the group. "Will we be seeing these skills demonstrated at the Tourney?"

[Davelyn Sand]

"Well, we do tend to prefer lighter armor, but I picked up a respect for heavier armors during my training, and it is far more effective to have heavier armor during a cavalry charge. Not something I hope to be part of but something I've trained to do well," he says with a smile.

[Allard Terrick]

'' I guess you will participate in the joust, yes? Your skill with the spear could be a very important advantage'' He asked Davelyn.

'' I guess so, Milady. Apart from the joust, traditionally, there should be a grand melee and an archery constest as well, alongside perhaps of some other events. As the royal princes came here, I think this tournament will follow the traditional format, and perhaps have one or two surprises prepared by Lord Ashford.'' Allard explained to the young lady. '' I desire to participate in most these events so probably you will see mace and maul, alongside other weapon skills, like the spear fighting you just saw ''

Allard noticed the other young girl that did not join the conversation. At first he thought that she could be a companion of Kaelyn, as they were talking, but it appears they were not together. He also noticed her clothes and he assumed they were from across the Narrow Sea.

[Davelyn Sand]

"I will. And the melee. I think there was also mention of an equestrian competition," he says with a nod. "Well, I'll be participating in the others assuming I don't need to ride in the lists that day."

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn smiled and waited patiently. "The jousts will be interesting, for certain. I am sure there are a great many knights here, with sklll and valor." He puffed his his chest out. "Too bad for them that a Wydman is here."

[Allard Terrick]

'' Good, good. Then we probably will face each other in the near future. '' He nods.

'' Ha! Well surely house Wydman has the reputation and prowess. But there's a -small- detail you are not taking on account, Ser. None of us is a Brax, Redfort, Waynwood, Lannister or Lynderly, eh?'' He said as a joke and as a praise to house Wydman's heraldry.

'' Seriously though, I wish you luck in the tournament. To all of you.'' He also said to Davelyn. '' Hopefully your good luck will not mean bad luck for me.'' He chuckled.

[Warryn Wydman]

"Hrm, you are right Ser Terrick. Alas, perhaps I'll have to pepper my shield with some new heraldry." His smile was jovial and arrogant at the same time. "I'm sure it will be all good fun for us all."

He glanced towards the Reachwoman. "And provide proper entertainment for the ladies as well."

[Davelyn Sand]

"And it's not so often that a Dornish man takes to the lists either. We shall see how all these pieces come together, and hopefully at the end of it be toasting Lady Ashlyn as her nameday champions."

He turns his eyes to Kaelyn. "Entertainment for the spectators as well, yes. You'll let us know if our matches are boring or exciting will you. We need to keep everyone smiling."

[Walder Rivers]

Walder shrugged. " I will partake in the grand melee. Cannae say I'm one fer jousting. Horses never agreed with me." He frowns ever so slightly.

[Kaelyn Dunn]

She knew these things were common among men. Still, it shocked Kaelyn hearing them discuss all the ways they could injure one another without animus. She managed to keep a genuine smile. She didn’t seem to be boring the men and they all seem kindly disposed despite her lack of knowledge in the different areas of combat. “I am certain it will be entertaining. I will cheer for each of you, even if you meet against one another. You’ve all been so generous as to explain the different competitions to me, I could do no less.”

“Maybe if any of you are inclined, it would not be seen as presumptuous of me to invite all of you on a hunt or some other sport after the games. I hear there is a place in Ashford where you bring them the gains from your hunt and they prepare it for you if they can keep the excess. They also provide the ale and wine, and that is always an extra incentive." Kaelyn didn't actually care for spirits, but they didn't need to know that.

[Davelyn Sand]

"I wouldn't be opposed to joining a hunt, but mostly because I would enjoy the company." The Dornish bastard smirks at the group.

[Warryn Wydman]

"I would be fond of the idea, Lady Dunn. I am not much of a hunter, but fun can still be had, after all." He smiled and gave a small flourish of his hand.

[Walder Rivers]

Walder nods. "Aye, could do with a hunt. Me skills're a bit rusty, should dust them off." He gave a small smirk. "And I never turn down an offer of ale."

[Allard Terrick]

"Hrm, you are right Ser Terrick. Alas, perhaps I'll have to pepper my shield with some new heraldry." His smile was jovial and arrogant at the same time. "I'm sure it will be all good fun for us all."

'' Haha! Good one.'' Allard laughs. '' In that case, I will have to try denying you the right of having a new shield with four hawk heads, Ser''

Allard crosses his arms and nods to Davelyn and to the Old Man rivers. This will be an interesting tournament he thought.

'' It would seem that the grounds around Ashford are quite productive '' The riverlander knight commented to the young lady '' It would be an honor to accompany you in a hunt, milady'' Allard slightly bowed to Kaelyn.
