He let out a sigh

''Well...do you know why Lord Cedric never thought of marriage until now?''

[Davelyn Sand]

"Oh, I doubt the situation is that he didn't think of it. I think he only recently decided that now was the time," Davelyn says. "But because of that... now is the time."

[Ferris Cafferen]

He scratched his head

''But no mistresses? I...am surprised''

[Davelyn Sand]

"I would not assume to know about any mistresses. Only that he only recently decided to marry."

[Ferris Cafferen]

He scratched his beard

''Strange''

[Davelyn Sand]

"Perhaps he simply had an aversion to the institution or idea. It's not my place to know or understand. Just to see his expectations met," he replies with a nod.

[Ferris Cafferen]

''But understanding why might help.''

He pick up the puppy

''There are...certain rumors amongst some hunters''

[Davelyn Sand]

"Ah, rumors. I don't really pay much attention to such. And people aren't lining up to tell dornish bastards that swore their allegiance to the man about such things I imagine either."

[Ferris Cafferen]

''So hunts last for days...men talk often at the camp fire.''

he pauses for a moment

''There are two of them: either he is already in love with a lady he cannot have....''

[Davelyn Sand]

"Ah... I see. Neither of those things would be considered as negative in Dorne, so I guess they never really crossed my mind as being potential issues," he says with a smile. "Love knows not boundaries of gender or class. But I do suppose the northern realms are more sensitive to such things. If either case is true I could only hope for happiness for him and continue my search."

He shrugs

''I don't mind personnaly...but we might want to keep that in mind. Lord Cedric might not be able to hide that forever.''

[Davelyn Sand]

"If either is even true. We cannot know for certain unless we confirmed as much with Lord Cedric. And I am not inclined to pry from him something he might deem to keep to himself," Davelyn says with a shrug. "I think, whatever the case, he is moving forward in the interests of the house and that is good enough."

[Ferris Cafferen]

''Good enough'' he replies nodding

[Davelyn Sand]

"Have you spoken with any marriageable ladies, or houses that have mentioned they have any such marriageable ladies?" he asks.

[Ferris Cafferen]

''Not yet I am afraid...I will try to mingle more'' he says, disheartened

[Davelyn Sand]

"No worries. I certain that we'll be able to support him in this goal... even if it will be uncomfortable and far outside our normal duties." He smiles confidently at Ferris.

"So, are you planning any hunts while you are hear?"

[Ferris Cafferen]

''Quite certainly'' he confirms with a grin

''I do plan to hunt the elusive rumored White Stag''

[Davelyn Sand]

"Oh? I look forward to hearing of your success. That would likely get you quite a bit of recognition for your skill," he says with a nod. "Any stag that consistently makes the rumors must be clever prey indeed."

''True'' he looks at his owl

''Albino are rare...but a blue eyed albino is unheard of''

[Davelyn Sand]

"That is interesting. I didn't know that deer could have blue eyes. I think every time I've seen a kill brought back by hunters it had dark eyes."

[Ferris Cafferen]

''And albino usually have red ones''

[Davelyn Sand]

"Much like albino people then," he says with a nod. "I've seen one and read about another. Both accounts matched up. So do you hunt with bow or spear?"

[Ferris Cafferen]

''Bow, longbow if I can'' he confirms

''The spear is useful but the distance is key''

[Davelyn Sand]

"I see. I've never been a hunter myself."

[Ferris Cafferen]

''A tool for every task, they say.'' he said, grinning
