[D3 MM] Wy, I'm algood ser

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn stood at the edge of the camp, awaiting his guests. The Algoods were decent folks.. or at least the lord was. The lord was also quite busy, so he extended an invite to the people who could support him with Important Decisions.

He was dressed decently, though the clothes weren't of the highest caliber. His mind was only half on the meeting, the other half was going through the upcoming joust. Ser Beesbury.... another Reachman.

[Ulrich Reyne]

There was quite a pipe in his step that morning, like some heavier burdens had been lifted from his person.

It made the casual robes he wore that much more fitting on him. The air felt divine. The weather, fantastic.

Got him in the mood to do some business.

He walked into the encampment and seeing the man he recognized from the tournament, he smiled. "Ser Warrynz correct. Ser Ulrich Reyes, a pleasure. Trusted man of the Algoods to hear and pursue your request. Lady Algood will be here shortly, I believe. She has some other matters to attend to first."

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn nodded, and gave a small bow. "Well met Ser Reyne. Well, I can certainly understand business. I hope you have been enjoying the tourney so far, and the rain doesn't bother you?"

[Ulrich Reyne]

"Not at all. I happen to enjoy this weather." He smiles widely and bows back. A clear face appeared of him. In a much better mood than one would expect from being a wet day.

"Best time to have a joust, eh? Gives you more to consider in your run. I look forward to seeing your victory today, Ser Warrynz."

A sideways glance over to the others in the encampment. "I suppose we can wait a minute for the Lady to show. Tell me, how was your journey here?"

[Warryn Wydman]

"Glad to hear. Appreciate your wishes ser, I look forward to honoring them. "He smiled and wiped away some water from his face.

"We'll see how it goes... it does feel like a nice challenge, I'll be honest." He looked out in the rain, to see when the lady will come.

"It was decent... it's hotter here than in the mountains. I'm still unused to seeing so many things on the horizon, with no blockage."

[Ulrich Reyne]

"Excellent."

He waited a few more moments before sighing. "It seems she is unable to show. I apologize, but hopefully my company will suffice for your needs for the day?" He looks around the encampment and breathes in deeply of around the wet air.

[Warryn Wydman]

"I understand how busy one can be Ser Reyne, so no worries." He gestured towards one of the smaller tents. "Care to join me for some breakfast while we talk? I hope to discuss some House matters with you ser."

[Ulrich Reyne]

He nods and looks over at him. "Breakfast sounds good, Ser Wydman." He was particularly famished after last night.

"So how fairs the good House Wydman? The Reach treats you well?"

[Warryn Wydman]

"The Reach is nice... a bit hot for my tastes. A bit strange to see something other than mountains, to be honest." Ulrich was led to a smaller tent, where wine and food was prepared and a table for the both of them.

"Take a seat ser. How about the Algoods? Though you're not an Algood exactly, but I see you're accompanying them?"

[Ulrich Reyne]

"Yes, I can grasp that. I've made my way thru the Reach a few times. It's not so bad, I suppose." He smiles and sits down and eagerly awaits the coming food.

"The Algoods...well, you know of their recent troubles, I assume. The sentence on the former Lord Algood was just, but it's a long way ahead for them to return from all that. They are my cousins, after all, and I would wish nothing but the best for them as they proceed to move back into their former glory. Even if tasked by the Lannisters to be their eyes and ears, if that means I take on a small role for their interests, well, they are a good House to remember Reyes assistance on this matter."

He sighs. "Unfortunate as it is, they cannot proceed to grow so long as the decisions of their past continue to limit them."

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn listened. "I heard some, but not all." He nodded. "Is there anything House Wydman could help?" His offer was sincere.

[Ulrich Reyne]

"Well, that is not for me to say, considering my role within the House." He pauses and looks at him. "However, if I were to offer any suggestions for the Algoods, I would say the first thing that must be done is to remove the leash around their necks with the Head House. That would, unfortunately, require several Houses calling attention to the Lannister's actions on them. It's unfortunate, but they cannot return so long as the current Lord pays in diminished actions"

He smiles and starts to drink his morning wine. "As I said, though, it's not for me to tell them what to do. All I can do is convey my opinion, if asked."

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn listened. "It can be unfortunate, if the relationship between vassal and liege is not ideal. In your opinion then, strictly speaking, would a lord of a different region sharing his opinion help? Of course, theoretically speaking, it would be good of the favor could be returned in some way."

[Ulrich Reyne]

Placing down his wine glass, he looks around for the food to arrive.

"If a Lord would do such a thing, it would be a good start. If several Lords were to do this, it may mean something. In my opinion, of course, I would dare say if perhaps the Algoods were to have the ear of the Red or the Black here, it would certainly leave a larger mark, more than anything. Still, I think if a conceded effort were to occur within the Lesser Houses, it may at least make way for them to reopen a mine that they nearly lost during the conflict. Maybe even begin the process to return their Lord's children to their worried mother."

He shrugs. "Again, it is not for me to make such promises, but if someone were to do this for my House, Lord Reyne would show an incredible amount of gratitude, if not for the voice on the matter, but any assistance that could be had to obtain this goal. I could not imagine that our Cousins would not be equally greatful."

[Ulrich Reyne]

He pauses and considers it. "That...may be rough for the Algoods. Most of their forces are diminished due to the recent events. The Lannisters now make up most of the forces on our patrol." Though he was already looking into a way to increase their efficiency with the Forresters.

"Perhaps there could be a way to assist you thru another means?" He reached over and placed a sausage on his plate and eagerly started to consume it. "Nothing makes up for a few able bodies to help you, sure, but we have some strong minds to go with it."

[Warryn Wydman]

"Oh? That sounds... generous from the Lannisters." Of course, as he said it, it wasn't exactly sincere. "Men versed in battle and leadership would also be appreciated. Skill is as important as numbers, after all." He also plucked a sausage for eating."

[Ulrich Reyne]

He rolls his eyes at the thought. "Yes, truly kind of our Head House." Ulrich takes a large gulp of wine at the thought then placed it down to continue.

"Then the Algoods may have someone they can offer you, in that case. I'll be sure to convey that for their thoughts on the matter." He smiles, thinking of what may come from it. He takes a large bite of his sausage. "A few, in fact, though we cannot part with all of them. I'll be sure to speak on this matter with the Lady the next time I see her."

So far, so good.

"I was born into it." He stands up and takes a small bow. "Third son of Lord Reyne, Ulrich Reyne at your pleasure.. Lest something major happen to my brothers or my nephews, may the Seven forbid, I won't be in line, so need for formalities." He grins and sits back down.

He pours himself some wine as he continues. "Had a few options as I grew. Become a Ser, join the Maesters, or take the Black. Turns out I was pretty good with the first thing, so I became a knight."

"Well, it is not like I ignored everything my Septa taught me. Just...studying lacks the appeal for me. I was born with other talents. Pretending studying was one of them would have been a waste of all of our times."

He finishes his piece of sausage and reaches for another.

"And here I was thinking you took a interest in my long and sorted past." He laughs and waves it off. "Well, the Algoods was easy. Lannisters trust the Reyne to get their job done, my father trusts me to ensure that the Lannisters are properly informed of what they need to know on our Cousins, and I get to not be fighting battles for awhile. Which, to be honest, a break from it is very needed."
