[D2 LM] The First Break: Joust Main Event Observation

[Maester Oswell]

Oswell watched Ser Androw slowly losing the match taking punishing strike after strike until he could take no more punishment and was defeated.

There was courage in not yielding, that was true, but the body was only designed to take so much trauma before it shut down and it appeared that was exactly what had happened.

This could be serious, Oswell thought to himself. Best see what preparations the Home House has made to look after the wounded.

Unheeding and uncaring about proper protocol, Gwen had squeezed herself forward to front of the spectators' area to get a good look at the jousting. The fast-paced action of the mounted knights was more than enough to make her forget about the fact that she had to dress up for the occassion.

His soft voice is pleasant, and she finds herself wondering what he might sound like in the middle of the night, deep and rough on her ear, and she shivers a little. "I do not have a jousterr to favourr in today's lists. Tomorrow, perrhaps."

As to his other question, "I am frrom a little town on the coast of the Summerr Sea, nearr Starrfall."

With Warryn's victory Talieas was up on his feet and cheering. Loudly.

"Warryn, Warryn, WARRYN!"

Full of cheer he was quick to leave the stands to head toward where the young Wydman heir would be headed to congratulate him in person.

"It is quite exciting," Cassana mused with little enthusiasm. She took a seat once more and looked to both Forrester siblings.

[Arwyn Forrester]

She nods a little toward Marqus, then chuckles a little, eyes flicking toward Cassana. "We've met Ser Wydman, at least, so it's nice to see someone we know of win." She looks over to her brother with raised eyebrows. "Gives you an idea what you might be looking forward to, though." She nods to where the man on the ground was.

[Kevan Dunn]

Kevan would have cheered the Reachman so he stayed mostly quiet and observant of the way Warryn had delivered his victory. He was still unoccupied by conversation.

[Kaelyn Dunn]

Kaelyn made it in plenty of time to see Ser Wydman ride. She'd promised to cheer for him and she was a girl of her word. Climbing, she decided to take a seat that wasn't quite so near where everyone else had gathered. Tomas might join her and she, herself, didn't care for crowds. When Ser Wydman took the victory, she got to her feet and clapped.

Desmond and Walder were present. The young heir cheered loudly for every contestant. This was fun.

The young man stood and offered a polite bow as the Lady when through the trouble to curtsy, retakign his seat after she took hers. "It's nice to meet you Milady." He offered with a half smile, before answering her question. "A bit." Derrick didn't think he should mention he was trying to save the better seats for the many Lords and ladies here. Being as she sat so close to him. "I'm Derrick by the way, a retainer of House Algood."

[Kaelyn Dunn]

She smiled. "I haven't had the opportunity to interact with the Algoods yet, I don't think." She stated quietly, pondering the previous day to be sure as she looked over the other guests; if they jogged her memory. "So tell me, Derrick, are you enjoying yourself at Ashford?"

[Derrick]

"Well, there are only a few actual Algoods here so it's not too surprising." He glanced out towards the crowd. "Especially with the number of other visitors present."

At her question his lips curled into a soft frown. "Its been interesting, a bit confusing at times, but in general I've had a good time."

[Kaelyn Dunn]

"Confusing?" Kaleyn blinked. She supposed she'd been confused a number of times herself. Like when did speaking with people one-on-one become so natural? "Is there anything I can do to help?" she smiled.

[Derrick]

That brought a small smile to his lips, but it quickly passed. "Thank you for the offer Milady, but I'll be alright. I'm certain you have enough things on your mind. I shouldn't add the problems of a commoner to those."

Kaliya winced visibly at the thought, "will you be challenging the champions as well?"

She was a kind girl, and the birds antics did pull a smile from the young man, he'd always had a little fondness for animals. Not that he went around telling anyone about it, or even really owned any when he was younger. Derrick pursed his lips considering it for a few moments his eyes on the wafer.

"Thank you milady, and normally I might accept your offer, but the topic isn't really a appropriate one to bring up, at least the one that has been troubling me most." He offered her a apologetic smile as he answered.
