Martin Tremaine wrote:Martin's eyes, a grey flecked with blue, flickered over as the young woman approached. "You may. Please." He gestured with one hand, strangely graceful. He half rose as she moved to sit, politely waiting until she was seated before lowering himself once more.
For a time, then, he is silent, his serious expression and his focus on the assembling knights discouraging conversation. Finally, though, he relents a bit, glancing at Kaliya again. "Ser Martin Tremaine, at your service."
Kaliya Redding wrote:The late morning sun favours the exotic young woman, her golden skin glowing, enhanced by the tones of her sheer, golden yellow dress. Her black hair shines in silky waves. Her first two words may have not have been quite enough for him to notice anything strange, but when she speaks again, her accent is strong, "well met Serr Marrtin," the Rs trilling from the tip of her tongue, "forrgive me, but yourr name is not familiarr to me. Wherre have you trravelled frrom, Serr knight?"
Kaliya Redding wrote:His soft voice is pleasant, and she finds herself wondering what he might sound like in the middle of the night, deep and rough on her ear, and she shivers a little. "I do not have a jousterr to favourr in today's lists. Tomorrow, perrhaps."
As to his other question, "I am frrom a little town on the coast of the Summerr Sea, nearr Starrfall."
Kaelyn Dunn wrote:Kaelyn made it in plenty of time to see Ser Wydman ride. She'd promised to cheer for him and she was a girl of her word. Climbing, she decided to take a seat that wasn't quite so near where everyone else had gathered. Tomas might join her and she, herself, didn't care for crowds. When Ser Wydman took the victory, she got to her feet and clapped.
Arwyn Forrester wrote:She nods a little toward Marqus, then chuckles a little, eyes flicking toward Cassana. "We've met Ser Wydman, at least, so it's nice to see someone we know of win." She looks over to her brother with raised eyebrows. "Gives you an idea what you might be looking forward to, though." She nods to where the man on the ground was.
Martin Tremaine wrote:"I see." Martin said. His eyebrows went up just a little. "That is a long way. I hope the road wasn't too trying for you."
He looked forward again as the next group of jousters assembled. "In truth, there's not a jouster I favor either. But it's always interesting to watch. To get a picture of who the jousters are as people." For a moment he looked as though he was about to say more, but he didn't. His eyes narrowed as the knights lowered their lances, clearly studying them.
Derrick wrote:She was cute, and by the cut of her clothing likely another noble. Still when the pretty young woman came to claim a seat nearby Derrick offered her a dip of his head and a polite greeting. "Milady."
Kaliya Redding wrote:"My apologies," she watched him watching the jousters, "I have been in the Rreach a numberr of yearrs," and it's been a long and tirring jourrney indeed. As the knights crossed lances, "mm, interresting, therre is undeniably a grreat deal of skill rrequirred, which I apprreciate. Yet, it can be quite frrightening to witness."
Derrick wrote:That brought a small smile to his lips, but it quickly passed. "Thank you for the offer Milady, but I'll be alright. I'm certain you have enough things on your mind. I shouldn't add the problems of a commoner to those."
