[D3 LM] Valar Morghulis: Lyonel Baratheon vs. Leo Tyrell

[Kevan Dunn]

Seeing the Valemen apprehending the murderer, Kevan moved furiously to remove other obstacles for justice to be meted out. And that meant the dancing Braavosi hired hand. That she was a girl felt irrelevant because of what she chose to do, who she chose to defend. The chance to stand down had long passed. Kevan did not say anything else, just rolled in and slashed her deep, then tried to push her down to end this, but the fence was too agile for his heavy-handed attempt.

Agile as she was, the cut wasn't as life threatening as it surely should have been. Avoiding the brunt of it she slipped away just enough to save herself something far nastier but would surely remember the Dunn and his blade.

[Alessia]

Afflicted by her wound Alessia gives her best to force herself into a position where she would be between Kevan and Lyonel Baratheon. However, due to her greivous injuries finding a way to force the lordling to move on her terms proves far more difficult than she could manage.

"Drop your weapons Alessia." Came Derricks voice before he turned both his weapons towards the downs Lord. Hoping to knock the man unconscious.

The blow is strong; the Baratheon lord was in the process of standing up but instead crumples to the ground, unmoving.

Never one to attack a downed opponent without cause he instead wheels on the woman. "Oh no you don't." He studies her form a moment before flicking his spear out and bringing it down on her head.

Ywain dropped his shield and gripped his bastard sword with both hands. "Backstabbing Braavosi scum!" he howled as he stepped into a powerful swing.

Flashes of steel, Alessia was bleeding and wounded, and it was impossible to ascertain anything through the flash. What was important, however, was that the Braavosi trained woman was on her knee with her blades out of reach. Ywains sword held against her he would be the one to pass judgement.

Through a pained laugh she looked up to those around her, "You coulda just asked."

[Rahvin]

Combat is over, roleplay may continue; others from the observation thread may join at this point for whatever reason.

Derrick decides the fate of Lyonel Baratheon; decides his is unconscious and captured.
Ywain decides the fate of Alessia.

[Kevan Dunn]

It was done. Kevan threw his helmet aside and turned toward the audience where the Dragon Princes were, pointing with the tip of his greatsword toward the fallen Baratheon.

"Lord Ashford, what justice for this man?"

[Ser Ywain Kestrel]

Ywain flicked the Braavosi's blades to where his boot could cover them. "She's done and this is finished." He kept his eyes on the bloodied woman for a moment before wiping the blood from his blade and offering a salute to the Lord Ashford.

[Maester Oswell]

While most were concerned with Lord Baratheon, Oswell headed to the fallen Lord Tyrell as fast as his wheels would carry him.

He took a few moments to try and asess his condition before barking orders at those around to move the giant dead steed out of the way.

Diagnosis roll = 28 (assuming standard difficulty = 4 successes)

[Davelyn Sand]

When Oswell arrives, Davelyn is already there attempting to move the horse off of Lord Tyrell, covered in mud and horse blood. He puts his full force and back into the effort so that he can give Oswell full access to the lord.

With the help of the Dornishman, the pages and squires manage to shift the weight of the horse off Lord Tyrel''s body.

And a body it is - there is no life left in the once Lord of Highgarden. It was very likely he was dead the moment he hit the ground.

[Maester Oswell]

Oswell shook his head sadly, confirming the passing of Lord Leo Tyrell, Warden of the South.

[Davelyn Sand]

"Dammit," the Dornishman says, wiping mud from his face with a muddy arm, resulting in nothing. "Dammit."

[Maester Oswell]

"It would've been quick at least, he didn't suffer." Oswell mumbled, loud enough for those nearby to hear. "But still such an unfortunate accident."

[Derrick]

There were people everywhere, and a lot of loud screaming and carrying on. It wasn't surprising that the Lord was dead Derrick would of been surprised if he was alive.

Taking a stance near Alessia and the downed Lord Baretheon. The young man stayed quiet, keeping a eye on the mostly unconscious opponents. He was weary and bleeding, but most of his wounds seemed superficial in nature.

[Davelyn Sand]

"He didn't... but many more likely will because of this," Davelyn replies to the maester. There was little else Davelyn could do but be present if someone wished his assistance.

[House Ashford]

Lord Ashford narrows his eyes at the unconscious drunkard Baratheon and his defenders.

"Take them to the castle - the cells should hold them for now." He paused for a moment and cursed, "We'll have to send a raven to Highgarden and inform Ser Parcival... no, I should say Lord Tyrell, now. He'll need to come without delay."

[Maester Oswell]

Oswell passed Davelyn the blanket that the Maester had brought in case the rain had returned.

"Cover him up lad. It's about all we can do right now."

[Alessia]

Well, at least she knew one was an honorable sort and sought his aid in this moment. Glancing from Derrick to her swords her intent for him to hold her weapons, one who she knew would not "lose" them.

[Davelyn Sand]

Davelyn did just that, covering the body of Lord Tyrell. The thought never crossed his mind or what it might mean to have a Stormlander present in this situation.

After covering Lord Tyrell he stepped back once more. He suspected Reachmen would want to be the ones to take the body, but was there to help if need be.

[Derrick]

Derrick would collect the young woman's weapons, and keep them if he was allowed. Though he could do little if one if Lord Ashford or one of the other Lords asked him to hand them over.
