She was more pleased than she hoped she let on that he found her beauty not wanting.

"I think those are more than reasonable terms. A friendship and appreciation of my husband would be most agreeable with me."

Of course, she couldn't agree to something this huge on her own.

"It would be lovely to meet with your Lord, Ser Davelyn. Of course, I can make no promises on my own. My Father and Lord Dunn would have to approve the match. I hope you understand I am not simply toying with Lord Kellington."

"Of course not. These things require a certain level of involvement. I can't say that I'm personally a fan of political matching, but I do wish what is best for my lord, the Stormlands and all the Realms." He nods to her.

[Kaelyn Dunn]

At this, the lightness returned to Kaelyn. "I'm relieved you understand. I, too, wish for peace and prosperity for our Houses and the Realm."

[Davelyn Sand]

"Then I will discuss it with Lord Kellington and find out when a good time to meet would be. I will go back and forth between you and he to arrange everything," he says with a nod. "Do my best to ensure that the meeting itself is set up appropriately. If you would like anyone there in addition to observe, please let me know."

"I thank you, sincerely, Ser Davelyn. I will ask Lord Dunn if he wishes someone be present. I trust Lord Cedric will be the perfect gentleman, but in the end it is not my decision to make." Her smile reached her eyes. Second day there and she'd already made new friends and perhaps found a suitable husband, or at least started down the road toward such a match.

Her smile was lovely, and pleasant to see. And she was quite attractive. It gave him hope that she was another good potential match for Cedric. "So what hobbies do you enjoy Lady Kaelyn?"

[Kaelyn Dunn]

"I was inspired from a young age to adore the written word." Kaelyn sincerely admitted. "I speak a tiny bit of Valyrian and would enjoy learning more. You might have gathered that I also have a way with animals. I was actually the one to gift my brother his hound. I love to ride, and my brother and I hunt together." She gave a small laugh. "And talking too much seems to be quickly pulling ahead to first place. Please, what do you do when you're not performing your duties."

"Well, the library in Cragfort is not expansive as Sunspears, but I like to spend time in there learning of Kellington family history. So I'm a reader too. Aunt Avella told me that even if I was to be a warrior, she would not raise a young man that could not read," he smiles at that. "I am also fond of riding. Qitam and I spend a great deal of time together, both on and off duty. He is my steed. But I try not to actually have a great deal of free time if I can help it. I spend a lot of time training. I've been preparing for my first time out for quite some time, performing target practice with my war lance."

"I would love to see the library in Sunspear. Did your Aunt raise you in Dorne? I have visited my mother's relatives several times but never as long as I would have liked. And is Qitam a sand steed?"

[Davelyn Sand]

"Yes, I was raised in the palace of Dorne. Uncle Maron deemed that, and had aunt Avella raise me, though not alone," he explains about his childhood. "But no, Qitam is not a sand steed. He is a courser and I was there at his birth. He's been with me ever since."

[Kaelyn Dunn]

"I was not present at Tyana's birth, but I did know her quite young. She and I have a connection. I try to ride every morning, and often groom and upkeep her myself. It just feels right."

Kaelyn's nails clacked against one another has her fingers wove together and back apart again. "So, war lances are like the spears the Martell's are famous for?"

[Davelyn Sand]

He smiles, I definitely know how you feel. Sometimes when I'm out on a warm day and it's just myself and Qitam, we'll lay under the sun next to each other, and I'll cradle his head to my chest," he says with a nod. "He's more like a sibling at times."

"They are very different actually," he says. "But there are techniques one uses with spears that inform how to use the weighted lances, allowing you to improve your aim with a weapon that reaches out to strike. The balance and weight are very different, as are the body position when employing them, but you still need to learn thrusting technique and how to control such for accuracy."

"So the weight inside the weapon changes how you use it, even if from the outside they appear similar? I've only really ever used a bow."

[Davelyn Sand]

"The weight makes a huge difference. But that applies to spears of all types, even those that look similar," he replies with a nod. "And using a bow is more than most ladies do."
