[Kevan Dunn]

"No." Kevan shook his head. "I pretty much stopped thinking when I saw him killing Lord Tyrell and refusing to stand down to face justice but calling his thugs upon." He remembered the dark frenzy that drove him as he was slashing through Laughing Storm's goons. "Yesterday Marqus and I took his side when the mob gathered to lynch him, I thought it was the right thing not to let it..." Kevan had some regrets.

[Arwyn Forrester]

She shook her head. "I think it was the right thing to do, regardless of whether the person made the wrong choices afterward," she says, her voice taking on a reassuring tone. "I'll ask you the same thing Ferris Cafferen asked me - when you were just watching, before all of that started, did he look drunk before and during the first charge to you?"

[Kevan Dunn]

"I... don't know. I wasn't paying too close attention. Maybe not? What are you suggesting?" He tensed in anticipation of a twist to his understanding of what had transpired.

[Arwyn Forrester]

"He didn't seem to start being unsteady until the start of the second joust," she said quietly. "I don't know why that would be, but that's how it seems. He shook his head, and then could barely hold his lance up. But whatever fog it was didn't seem to interfere with his fighting afterward unless he seemed unsteady to you... hence why I hoped you might have insight."

[Kevan Dunn]

"Unsteady? He hit with that ax just fine, or rather I haven't noticed anything." Kevan finally got the clue. "It's hard to believe in any kind of drug or poison that affects only for a brief, crucial moment." He frowned. "Not that there wouldn't be those who would benefit from pitching the Reach and Stormlands into a conflict."

[Arwyn Forrester]

"It is hard to believe. That was my thought," she agrees. "There would be, but right now it looks like simply a man with a grudge and poor planning to me."

[Kevan Dunn]

"This way to grasp it will be put to a test soon enough, once his father reacts to him standing trial for murder in the Reach." Kevan clenched his fists. "I want justice more than I want peace."

[Arwyn Forrester]

She looks over to him, expression neutral. "I don't think punishing all of the Stormlands for his misdeed would be justice."

[Kevan Dunn]

"It wouldn't be. Justice would be Ser Lyonel answering for murder of Lord Paramount of the Reach, and war could be if the Stormlands try to prevent it."

[Arwyn Forrester]

She nods at that, satisfied. "I hope they won't. I'm fairly sure the Stormlanders I've met here would allow justice to prevail, but... I don't know about anyone else."

[Kevan Dunn]

He nodded. There is little more that could be said at this point that was not biased speculation. "You sounded like you know more about that fighting woman who was on Ser Lyonel's side." Kevan didn't feel remorse about wounding the fence, she had had a chance to stand down. But he was curious about her connection to the Baratheons.

[Arwyn Forrester]

"I just know that she was born in the Seven Kingdoms, in the North, I think, and that she's spent most of her life in Braavos," she explains. "She wants to become the best swordsman... swordswoman...? In the world."

[Kevan Dunn]

"That may be difficult now, after her weird life choices." He shrugged. "And little is setting her apart from loose sellswords at first glance."

[Arwyn Forrester]

She shrugs. "I'm just telling you what she told me."

[Kevan Dunn]

Kevan nodded, not arguing with that. Soon Marqus decided that it's high time for him to leave, and the siblings excused themselves for a moment of private talk. After Kevan bade Arwyn's brother arm-holding back-patting farewells he let them depart, waiting for Arwyn's return.
