As it happened, Reynard and Roycelyn didn't make it back to the Terrick compound until closer to mid-afternoon. They were searching for Lord Desmond, both to share what they had seen and to receive any orders that the heir of their house might have.

Desmond was easy enough to find. He was training Walder in an open area of the compound. It looked a lot like a boy playing with his dog, but clearly they were training.
