[D4 MA] An Andal Arrives at the Algoods

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn found the Algood camp... it took more time than usual due to the mist, he did succeed. He glanced around... while requesting an audience with a lady in her own lodgings might have been a bit too forward, he thought Lady Cassana might appreciate it forward.

[Cassana Algood]

Lady Cassana stepped out of her abode and greeted Warryn without any delay. "Good afternoon, Ser. To what do I owe the pleasure? Are you here to try to solicit lessons too?" she inquired with a wry smile.

[Warryn Wydman]

"Lady Algood, I was hoping to steal some of your time, though for something less pleasurable than lessons, though just as educational. Could we perhaps discuss some House matters?" He asked plainly. "To see whether our Houses can help each other in any way."

[Cassana Algood]

"You are an incredibly straightforward man, Ser. Perhaps it would do you well to learn to be more reserved." Despite her words, the woman smiled at him and dipped her head. "Where do you propose we start?"

[Warryn Wydman]

"Well then, perhaps I do need some lessons. I just don't wish to waste any of an important lady's time." He continued smiling "Perhaps we can start with whether House Wydman can help House Algood in any way? I find many of the Houses want something nowadays, or need."

He eyed her up and down. "You do look lovely as always." He added lamely.

[Cassana Algood]

"I do have a request for you, actually. I would like to have Alessia's blades given to my custody. She is a friend of mine and I am unsure of what your knights intend to do with such weaponry. I am certain you have a favor in mind for me to perform."

The noblewoman watched his eyes and then gave a coy smile. "Subtlety, Warryn."

[Warryn Wydman]

"Mhm... favors out of the gate melady? My my. You fetch a high price. I'll see what I can do." He sighed as he followed her.

He smiled. "Subtlety aye? You may have missed the part where I ride on a horse yelling my house motto with a lance."

He let out a breath. "If we are talking about requests.... there are a few topics related to House Wydman that I hope you could help with."

[Cassana Algood]

"Oh? I thought I could trust you with a favor, Ser," she mused with a sad, yet somewhat whimsical, tone. She let out a soft sigh and then dipped her head. "What matters did you want to address, Ser?"

[Warryn Wydman]

"Now now melady. I promise I won't be singing about this. I'll ask around my comrades, as I believe one of them was the one to disarm your friend. I won't disappoint a lady if I can help it." He smiled charmingly. Or at least he thought it was charming. It might have been cocky.

"Well... matters of import. Our lords seem to be quite busy nowadays, so I was hoping that perhaps we could discuss an alliance of our Houses on a lower level first. I am not sure if you heard about our lands... there are a few mountain clans that are a nuisance, and we are hoping that perhas House Algood could spare some men for such an endeavor?"

[Cassana Algood]

"I am certain it was one of the Knights of the Vale," she stated with a nod. She gave him a warm, submissive smile. "Thank you, Ser."

Cassana listened to his request and then tilted her head. "Perhaps such a thing could be arranged. I am not sure if armed soldiers are equivalent to swords being returned, if that was your exchange of favors." She lowered her eyes and then looked back up to him. "I do want to repay you for my friend's weapons in some equivalent fashion. A Lannister always pays her debts and, while I may not be one myself, I was raised under their care."

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn smiled, a bit on guard. "Oh, not for swords, no. It is just something I hope to discuss with your House. The swords are free of charge, a gesture of good will, if you'd like." He turned a bit, taking a look around the Algood camp. "Perhaps we can help House Algood solidify their situation, or any other kind of help? We understand nothing is easy, or free. I am just hoping that your House could help us."

[Cassana Algood]

The blonde noblewoman peered at him, her expression less pleased than before. She took a moment to sigh and then looked away. "I tend to distrust free favors. There is a certain expectation that follows them, at least with men I have encountered." Cassana gave him a small smile. "Are you so different, Warryn?"

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn raised his hands, first of all. "If it makes you feel better, you can owe me. And not that way. You're a noble woman, not some smallfolk maiden, for one. That garners respect, and you should be treated as such." He took a breath. "I am just hoping to build trust." He shrugged. "My concern currently is the well being of my House."

He took a step back. "Now, I hope you won't be offended as such. You are a beautiful and smart lady, but I am not starting anything you don't want melady."

[Cassana Algood]

"What are you implying, Ser?" Cassana's cheeks turned red and she turned away. "I meant they expected favors in return. Me asking my brother or some other person to do what they want."

She looked back at him, her own stance wary now too. "What exactly do you believe I want anyways?"

[Warryn Wydman]

Well, fiddleballs.

"Just that." Replied Warryn lamely. "I a-am at your se-service Lady Algood." He was blushing all the way now. Stupid, stupid, stupid. "I would never abuse your brother's trust in you melady."

[Cassana Algood]

"Should I be expecting you to declare my name if you regain your position as champion by the end of the tournament?" she asked with an amused smile. "You wanted me to cheer you along, correct?"

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn was relieved at the change of topics, and at the same time, he sighed. "I would melady, but alas, according to the rules set forward by Lord Ashford and his steward, I cannot challenge again. Not for myself at least." He seemed sincerely sad about it. "I must pass the honor of declaring you queen of love and beauty to someone else. I must disappoint you in this respect."

[Cassana Algood]

"Would it be possible for me to name you then? Perhaps I could do so after my own champion has his joust." She looked at him with a genuine smile. "You seem to want to ride again."

Her eyes lit up. "That could be the repayment for your returning the blades to me."

[Warryn Wydman]

Warryn smiled. "I appreciate the sentiment Lady, but alas, the rules state I had my chance." He sighed. "Ser Beesbury beat me fair and square, I will not begrudge his victory." His smile turned melancholy. "I hope your champion will fare well though."

[Cassana Algood]

"Then perhaps at another tournament you could declare me queen of love and beauty," she remarked lightly. She shot him a mischievous look and then dipped her head. "But thank you. I am sure he appreciates such a gesture."

[Warryn Wydman]

"Oh, I would love to melady." He smiled and bowed. "Though it may take a while. Most tournaments are more local than what our gracious host has assembled here."

He tilted his head a bit at her smile, but he ignored it for now. "You've known your champion long?"

[Cassana Algood]

"Well, if I were to accompany soldiers to the Vale, then I may be able to attend. I imagine there are many tournaments held in the Vale."

Cassana then gave a warm smile. "I have. He was a faithful friend of mine during my stay at Lannisport." She paused and then shook her head. "But if I tell you more, then the mystery will be tattered."

[Warryn Wydman]

"Of course, I wouldn't want to shatter a mystery, especially unearned." He raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You would accompany soldiers melady? Any particular reason?" He smiled as he asked.

[Cassana Algood]

"I assume that someone has to ensure that the soldiers complete their duties instead of galavanting." The noblewoman then gave him a warm smile. "I cannot claim to have been to the Vale before either. It would be a good opportunity."

[Warryn Wydman]

"Well... I must confess, I trust your soldiers, but I wouldn't complain. There are some beautiful places I can show you.... their magnificence might even rival your own radiance." He was cringing inwardly... Cheesy Warryn. Very cheesy.

"Have you been in many places outside of Algood lands?"
